UPDATE: March 15, 2020
This announcement is being sent to all active clients of Dr. Craft and Vickie Crisler. The health of our clients is of utmost importance, both physical health and emotional health. It is also important to let you know that your mental health services do not have to be impacted negatively by the closures and restrictions that have been recently announced. Our practice has always had the ability to offer remote services, and several clients have taken advantage of this already in the past.
I assure you that most clients who wish to avoid coming into the offices for therapy will be able to continue their services uninterrupted. Please be aware that tele-therapy is not always the best situation for every client. Ideally, I prefer to move clients to tele-therapy only after they have completed initial intake and we have met a few times in person. I understand that that policy may need to be revised in the coming days and weeks in order to accommodate client needs and preferences.
Only clients who are fully registered in the portal, have completed the informed consent and client rights documents, and completed the WHODAS and Biopsychosocial forms, will be allowed to schedule video sessions. You must have an active email address to access the portal. If you are unsure if you have completed all of these forms, please login to the secure patient portal:

Effective as of March 15, 2020:
1) All existing clients with scheduled appointments in March and April will have the option to switch to a tele-therapy appointment. If you would like to change your existing appointment, please email me in this secure portal so that I can change your appointment from "office" to "online video". You will then simply need to click "Start Video Session" in your scheduled appointment on the portal calendar.
2) In-office appointments will still be an option provided that the client is in good health, not in a high-risk demographic, has not traveled anywhere in the past 14 days (international or domestic) and not exhibiting symptoms of upper respiratory illness of any kind (i.e., sneezing, coughing, fever, runny nose, etc).
3) Office locations will be cleaned in between clients, including use of disinfectant spray on furniture and disinfecting common surfaces such as door knobs, restroom keys, coffee maker, etc. Because of this, in-office sessions will be held to a strict 53 minutes to allow for the cleaning to occur. Clients with a sensitivity to smells, cleaning agents, etc will be advised to not come to the office.
4) All clients will need to ensure that their payment information is up to date so that billing will continue smoothly. Please be sure to review your current contact and insurance information on file.
Please use your own judgement when determining your health status, and also keep in mind who may be visiting the office and the office buildings in addition to you. There are multiple people not associated with our practice who have access to the buildings and we cannot guarantee their health status. We also do not control the general building maintenance and cleaning, so cannot guarantee that spaces such as restrooms, elevators, entrances, etc are being regularly disinfected.
I will continue to provide updates as new information is provided by the Governor and CDC which may impact the types of services that can be provided. I will also provide information should my own health, or that of my family, be compromised in any way.
Be Healthy!
Sincerely
Dr. Shonda M. Craft, LMFT
